âFlawlessly updated, centrally-located historic property ! Quiet with amazingly comfortable beds and a bountiful pantry for enjoyment by guests. Our entire stay was just perfect. We will be back!â
âVĂ€ldigt centralt, stora rum och fantastiska Ă€gare som var mycket hjĂ€lpsamma och vĂ€nliga. Frukosten enkel men god. Enda nackdelen med det hĂ€r stĂ€llet Ă€r att det Ă€r vĂ€ldigt lyhört, man hör sina grannar tydligt. â
âWe loved staying in a house built in the 1600s! It was like getting to sleep in a museum rather than a hotel.
Also - the Continental Breakfast was more than we expected! Beyond a few kinds of breakfast bread and a toaster, there was also whipped cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and a couple types of fresh fruit. We were very pleased.
There were only a couple drawbacks (which would NOT keep me from recommending the experience):

âIf you're looking to visit Salem and save on lodging, this is the place. I visited for 3 nights (no car) and I was pretty happy. The Salem Skipper picks up about 2 blocks away, a short walk and an easy ride into downtown Salem (just be prepared to wait about 20-25 minutes). Down the road there is an amazing coffee shop, Breaking Grounds, with the best morning fare (gluten free options available). The hotel also provides little pastries, fruit, and yogurt for free. âAs you pull into the property thereâs a beautiful fountain. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and offered dining suggestions.
The rooms are amall and microwaves arenât provided. â
âAll of the staff was friendly, helpful and attentive, but special shout out to Joanne at reception and Susan in the restaurant :)
Clean, quiet, with a nice fitness center and the restaurant was very convenient for dinner and breakfast.â
