“Second year in a row that we've stayed here for Labour Weekend. Was peaceful and quiet, ideally located for a range of activities nearby. Kids enjoyed gathering dead wood for the outdoor firepit, played boardgames into the evening, enjoyed the view of Ruapehu while sitting outside. Gorgeous location.”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were quite a few gaps. There were no instructions for the fire and when we arrived it was on. However after about an hour it went out on its own. The backup heater didn’t work so our first night was somewhat freezing. No reply from the Bachcare despite 3 tries and we finally managed to get it working ourselves by turning the mains power off to reset. No soap in the bathroom, not enough pillows. “House is spacious and has a nice deck. Property alarm keeps beeping all day and night long, which was a bit of annoying for first night. We called the 0800 number and they solved the issue giving us the code to turn it off. Hot pool was sadly not cleaned at all. Water and pool’s wall were super dirty and we couldn’t use it much. Some beds make so much noise when sleeping and moving. An air cond would be great as doors and windows can’t stay opened coz of heaps of mosquitoes inside. Check out...

“The property was lovely however there were a few things that could’ve been looked into. There was mould in the showers and the dishwasher had previously been broken by someone so water went all over the kitchen floor. No detergents to wash towels or amenities before we left and we couldn’t find a bucket for ashes etc either.”

“Wonderful house, lovely fire, we appreciated the supply of wood and the fact the fire was lit when we arrived! Our only feedback was that The shower tap heat controller needs to be replaced, as it's difficult to turn (especially for kids) and only 1 toilet roll was supplied - more would be appreciated, thanks.”

“Great location and great set up for teens. The actual accommodation is just like the listing. The upstairs area was great for our teenage daughters and their friends and the spa was well used! The weather in Ohakune was not great meaning we could not ski. However girls had no problems occupying themselves. “The property is as listed. Beautiful, well appointed and serene location close enough to everything. BUT it took over 30 minutes and several long distance phone calls to obtain the correct lockbox code to enter the property which was really frustrating after a long day's drive. I hope they sort that out.”

“Very comfortable adequate facilities. The lawns were cut but the garden is overgrown and there is no access to the front steps to get onto the deck because of overgrowth .Weeds are growing through the deck boards and thorny blackberry by the spa so could only lift half the spa cover . It is close enough to walk and bike into town .Overall we had a very pleasant stay .”
