🌿 Experience nature’s changing seasons and wildlife
At the end of May and beginning of June, nature comes alive.
Wildlife becomes active, and the forest transforms quickly – a magical time to truly experience summer.
The area around the cabin is perfect for hiking, berry and mushroom picking, cycling, or jogging.
Fish in nearby lakes or discover nature’s healing herbs during forest walks.
When winter blankets the landscape, new adventures begin: walking, snowshoeing, or exploring snowmobile and ski trails.
Choose between marked paths, winter trails, or your own tracks in untouched nature.
No matter the activity, you are always close to nature and the stillness of the forest.
🌍 Sustainability & Off-grid Living
The cabin is run with a focus on green transition and circular energy - In balance with nature, following the REconnect principle:
**Repair, Reuse & Recycling**
Heating in stoves done by using the Top-Down Burning Technique, which produces minimal smoke and soot, is energy-efficient and gentle on nature.
All food waste is composted and returned to cultivation, solar lighting provides electricity-free lights and water is carefully sourced from the lake or from my home.
🐾 Wildlife & National Parks
The cabin is located in the forest, 2 km from the village of Nattavaaraby, with close contact to small wildlife:
Different kind of forest birds, squirrels, hares and sometimes reindeer and foxes
The area is also home to bears, golden eagles, lynx and wolverines – shy visitors rarely seen but essential to the character of the wilderness.
Close proximity to Muddus National Park and several nature reserves makes the cabin a perfect base for independent wilderness experiences.
Several small streams flow into the Råne River, one of Sweden’s untouched rivers - home to grayling, salmon, pike and perch – perfect for fishing enthusiasts.
The area is part of Natura 2000 and offers unique nature experiences year-round.
