âFor starters, the staff here are excellent. And the hotel is kept quite clean. There are other inconsistencies, however. If you need wifi in your room, it is hit and miss for no apparent reason. For emergencies, there is always wifi in the reception area. I was there for 3 nights. I had hot water for two mornings but not the third. You have to run the shower for some time. "Three night. The wifi sucks. the ventilation in the rooms are also bad but otherwize a good hotel to stay at in Kampala."
"The first thing that happened was that they couldnât find our booking. It took a long time, and the person at the reception seemed very incompetent. A few days later, we had a problem with rats in the room. It took us an hour to get the same receptionist to believe what we were saying, even though a cleaner came up to the room with us and saw the rat. That night we were given a different room, which was disgusting â very worn-down and dirty.
The next day, we were moved again â another downgrade. A tiny room for the two of us, even though we were supposed to stay there for another whole week. We also had daily problems with lizard droppings in the room â it was everywhere.
There was also poor hot water in the new room; every other day we had to take ice-cold showers. Worms were falling from the ceiling into the bed. We had to keep our suitcase shut at all times to avoid animals getting in.
The Wi-Fi was okay. The pool was constantly full of kids splashing around, and youâd get water all over you, even though the staff told them off. The food at the hotel was good â very large portions, easy to share between two people.
Overall, the hotel is in serious need of renovation.
