“I absolutely loved this place! I enjoyed the fire pit while sipping on a glass of vino with my little pup under the stars. The place was quiet amd I even had a few deer that came to visit. Location was excellent to downtown Marion. I loved the record collection she has too! That probably was my favorite! The place was perfect for what I needed. U came to experience the Bigfoot Festival for the first time and didn't want to stay too far away do this place was great. Went to Lake James amd had...

“Great house with lots of space, and Chris was amazing with communications throughout our visit. Home was even better than the photos!”

“Location is great, house is roomy and great for a large family with teenagers. The host was responsive. Loved having use of the paddle boards and kayak. Kitchen could use a few things like storage containers with lids and some extra large bowls. Cleanliness in the showers could be better. We’d definitely rent the house again.”

“Absolutely charming and very well equipped small home. A lot of small amenities to make it welcoming. Didn't realize it had steps, that was our fault for not checking. We found the registration process to be confusing trying to do it through Expedia as it was a vbro. The owner went out of her way to be helpful.”

“extremely peaceful location and super cozy along with amazing kitchen appliances updated bathroom. I felt like I was at a high-end hotel.”

Location: The town of Old Fort has gone through a lot in the past few years, but that has not diminished its charm and resilience. The house sits on a beautiful creek and has a great view of the sunrise which we enjoyed from the screened in porch. The house is walking distance from downtown. The downtown has several breweries with great...

“We stayed there to hike in the area. This is a very good location with easy access to Shortoff Mountain Trails and Lake James for water activities and hiking. It is 5 minutes from Oak Hill Community Park and Forest. It is less than an hour from Table Rock, Hawks Bill, and other trails in Linville Gorge. Easy access to Morganton, Fonta Flora Brewing, Bones Jones Restaurant, and the Town Tavern. We loved the hot tub and the home is very dog friendly. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5...
