âThe manor house is fantastic, really beautiful gardens and surroundings. It is basically in the middle of nowhere, but very close to Chester and to UK's largest outlet. It is a perfect retreat in the English countryside! The hotel restaurant is very priceworthy, good value and nice service. Breakfast was also really good!â
âWe stayed at The Ship for a special wedding anniversary. Itâs an exceptional hotel in a wonderful area which has a unique atmosphere. The hotel food is good with a menu that changes over the seasons. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice from pastries and cereals to full English. The rooms are well furnished and comfy and the tea, coffee and biscuits topped up daily.
For bird watchers the estuary is worth a visit and in the room we chose the hotel thoughtfully provided...
âOnly stayed one night but overall a pleasant stay. Room was large with plenty of room. Bed extremely soft but had a relatively good nights sleep. Tea and coffee was plentiful. I woukd suggest some hooks in the shower room to hang clothing/ towels. There is no lift at the property. Food in the squadron bar was good. We had late lunch and breakfast. Drinks with breakfast were not included in the price which makes it a little expensive but overall it was good. My only critisism was that we opted...

âThe room had a lot of spiders (dead and alive as welll, and spider webs everywhere. Could you see them more properly when the lights were on and you saw them going from the lamps to the ceiling and between the desk and the wall.
When they cleaned the room they left stains on the sheets.
Breakfast was mediocre, there was no fresh vegetables and the only vegetables they did have were fried mushrooms or baked tomatoes
