“Firstly I will start by saying the staff in this hotel are possibly the nicest and most helpful bunch you could ask for, going out of their way to help with the questions we had. The room was comfortable, lovely and clean and it had a cvery osy vibe to it. We arrived at our booking around 9 and the manger even rang us about 8.45 to ask if we wanted to order anything to eat before the kitchen closed to make sure we had eaten. Breakfast in the morning was also of a high quality and very tasty....

“Great hotel, bar and restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff, and excellent service throughout our stay. Room was clean, well equipped, comfortable and modern. It would have been nice to have had the heating on when we arrived but appreciate that we’d recently had a change in weather. Bar has wide selection of drinks and food is excellent. Views are fantastic on a clear day and outdoor seating is available. Would (and have) happily recommend to friends and family”

“Lovely nights stay at the Red lion whilst visiting Oulton park, we were looked after from the minute we arrived until we left, Evening meal was lovely, as was the breakfast. We will definitely be returning.”

“I know the standard is not like Sweden but this can not be 4.2 on the grade scale, black mold in the entire toilet ceiling,dirty walls, and broken and worn details. The photos on The Saddle webside looks good BUT this is not how it looks irl. I'm curious about how the Swedes think that gave this good score.”

We were met by a tall young woman who was very welcoming and friendly and I was invited to complete details into a machine, then asked to pay the cost of the accommodation there and then. I explained that I had already done so with Hotels.com.Our room was situated over the bar area. The room was an adequate clean twin bedded space. Two large towels had been provided (not bath sized) that carried the odour of being dried inside and my partner...
