“My teen daughter loved our stay at Borde and me - a little less so. She was enchanted to stay in a chateaux and loved the grounds, animals, pools, grand decor etc. This is the place to stay for anyone who would enjoy the immersive experience. I found our room to be more rustic than expected. The floors have not been refurbished (ie they are original old and crumbly and I’m sure impossible to clean) and my feet were filthy the entire stay. They do provide slippers, which was very helpful. But...

“This hotel was nice and a good value. We enjoyed our room and it was located a 10 minute drive away from Chateau Chambord. Parking was a bit limited, and don’t plan on arriving early because there is no one at reception until check in time (and they’re only there for limited hours, so keep that in mind!) Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“Alles lokale Produkte, ob Frühstück oder Abendessen, sehr persönlicher service, unglaublich gut erhaltenes Chateau, grosses Zimmer, etwas spezielles und einen Umweg durchaus wert, sehr gute, klassische Küche, alle Wünsche werden erfüllt, E-Auto kann geladen werden (11kw). ”

“Hotellets rum och service var mycket bra. Restaurangen var en riktigt stor bedrövelse. Nu var det andra gången jag var i restaurangen under ett par månader. Först agången trodde jag det var otur i köket med ett segt och ganska oätligt kött stycke. Nu andra gången var vi 5 personer som alla fick portioner som var oätliga, sönder stekta och sega. Om man ville tugga så hade de räckt i minst ett par dygn. Priset för det som serverades var så över prissatt att man borde skämmas. ”

“Appartamento grande e pulito in una cascina che ha ampia possibilità di parcheggio. All'ingresso siamo stati accolti da musica in filodiffusione. Unica pecca, il quarto letto messo a disposione (eravamo in quattro) era una brandina poco comoda. Padrone di casa gentile e disponibile. Per chi guarda la tv anche in vacanza, manca il televisore.”

“Chambre spacieuse et propre, mais mal isolée (porte vers l'extérieur qui laisse passer demain froid) et le chauffage à 22 degrés.. on l'a descendu à 20. Personnel très sympathique. Petit déjeuner : dommage qu'il n'y ai pas d'oeufs brouillés. Le lait demandé m'a été servi tiède. Jolie déco. ”
