“This is my favorite place to stay in the Rice Lake area. It is a charming lodge tucked away in a quiet spot right on the lake. Expect beautiful vistas year round. Each room is designed uniquely, several are pet friendly. Each has a view of and access to the lake. The staff/owners are friendly and accommodating. There are complementary non-motorized water activities in the summer and nightly campfires. Breakfast is fruit and a locally baked scone. There is nothing hotel-chain about this place. ”

“The place is old but generally nice and well maintained. There are several trip hazards from uneven surfaces on the backside of the building along the lake. My husband tripped in the dark (no drinking involved) and was lucky to not seriously injure himself. The room was clean adequate. The only issue with the room was the bed. If you like a very firm memory foam mattress you would rate the stay higher than us. My husband was hot and I can’t sleep on such a firm mattress. We did appreciate the...
