Gorgeous property, very clean. We had a wonderful stay, I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The host communicated well up to the reservation, but was tricky to get ahold of after check in day.

Only issue was the floor needed to be mopped a bit better, other than that it was very clean. Any communication with the host was prompt. Loved the location, walking distance to some restaurants and bars, Gruene, the river. We were there for my daughter’s Batchlorette weekend.

This was a clean and lovely house. It was perfect for our family Thanksgiving trip. We had originally scheduled and booked this house for June 2025 but my father ended up having open heart surgery and would not be recovered for us to go on our trip to Schlitterbahn. They were very accommodating and let us reschedule for a later time so we chose to rebook for November over Thanksgiving. We were so very grateful. Great management and communication and we would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. House was clean, comfortable, and had everything that we needed. We had a total of 6 kids and 4 adults, so the bunk rooms were a perfect fit for us. The pool was nice and wonderful to have to play and relax in after floating the river. If we make another trip to New Braunsfels, we would absolutely choose to stay here again. Close access to town and the extra service of the tubes and golf cart being delivered to the house was wonderful. The only critique we had was regarding the river access. I'm not sure if this is maintained by the owners of Magnolia Haus or the nearby property and they just grant access to the renters, but we did not utilize this access due to the vegetation overgrowth and abundance of mosquitoes breeding there. Some is to be expected given it is a natural river, but better maintenance of the vegetation could help prevent some. It is definitely not an access point that you can use to relax by the river - just get in and float to the next exit point.

New Braunfels treasure

Nestled right in the heart of downtown with a short walk to shops and restaurants made for a perfect spot. We enjoyed the large size of the home for our multiple families. The house was clean and worked great for what we needed. Only one draw back is that it is not on the river. Great place!

Fantastic for large families

There were 11 people in our family that stayed at the house. There was ample sleeping space (actually more than we needed) and enough room for all of us to be together as well as not being on top of each other! My kids (10 and 6) LOVED their own little place under the stairs! What a GREAT use of that space!!! We all would recommend this house to anyone!

Great space for large family.

It was a beautiful house in a great location. We liked having the golf cart to drive around downtown to site see and having a short walk to the comal river. The only complaint was the internet connection and some construction noises next door early in the morning but otherwise great house!!

Perfect stay

We came for my daughter’s wedding in San Marcos. This house was perfect - tons of room, so clean. More amenities and things that most vrbos don’t have ( pans, pots, glasses). The pool was not heated, but not a problem.

great house for a large family

the house is very nice, and clean and well equipped . lots of parking . close to town so you can walk several places . it was winter so we didn’t use the pool. only possible downside is there are some older not so nice houses around it. new construction next door and across the street will help when completed. I would rent the house again.

Bachelorette Party

Overall the house is great, very nice and in a great area. Walking distance from the main downtown NB. The only thing was we were approved for an early check-in but when we arrived to set up before the rest of the group the cleaning crew had just gotten there and told us they were never informed about the early check-in. The kitchen and some areas were not cleaned and we had to go purchase cleaning supplies and a broom to finish the job. We had a blast and couldn't have gotten a more perfect house for the size group we had.

We loved this property! There were twelve of us, eight adults ranging in age from 40 to 70, and four children, ages 6, 9, 12, and 12. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was perfectly clean, with everything you could want. We shopped at the local H.E.B. before we checked in, so we cooked a lot at the house. There were a lot of tasteful touches, like a wicker basket that held the pool towels. My favorite part of the house was the shower in the master suite. I got that room all to myself, because this trip was for my 70th birthday and my family insisted I take that room. The shower was heavenly. Lots of water pressure, lots of hot water. It was great! (Everyone else was happy with their bathrooms too.) We had rented two vehicles, which fit neatly under the house, next to the two golf carts we also rented. It was such fun, taking the golf carts to nearby restaurants and running errands with them. I think everyone's favorite activity though was tubing on the Camal River. We rented tubes from the same people who provided the golf carts, and everything was there when we arrived. There's a river access point very close to the house, but we used one a little farther away in a city park; I'm not sure why, but my son-in-law had scoped everything out on arrival and thought this was better. The pool was lovely and clean, and the furniture around the pool was very comfortable. If I have my way we'll come back next year!

Beautiful and clean

This property is great. Lots of room, clean, well-stocked in kitchen (drip coffee maker AND Kuerig, with starter amounts, glassware, serving pieces.....) Dishwasher soap, laundry detergent. Just note, the owners do not supply bath soap or shampoo or conditioner. Not a major issue, just not the norm for VRBO and we hadn't packed any. The other VERY minor issues, were the fact that the front page of the listing shows a golfcart (which was available for an additional fee), and that "River Access" was down the street, through 2 gates. The pretty picnic tables in the listing, were over there, not on the home property itself. These things are VERY MINOR, and the home was fabulous. Just want others to know before they go.
