“The house was clean and very well prepared for our visit (including Christmas decorations in the house). Tony stayed in touch with us all along, and was quick to respond when we had questions. The decore and finishes of the house made us feel at home. The house was well equipped, everything was well organized and labeled (the best we’ve seen). If someone forced me to pick one negative thing about the house, it would be setting the right water temperature in the master shower - my wife found it...

“Billy Boy Retreat is a beautifully appointed home. We were there in March so the swimming pool wasn’t open but we enjoyed the patio with its plastic enclosure , hot tub, tv and fire table. Anything you could think of needing was available at this home. We also enjoyed a Saturday afternoon trip at the Coal Tipple brewery.”

“Cleanliness was outstanding! Coffee supplies and paper products were abundant. Furnishings are attractive and comfortable. The Welcome basket was a pleasant surprise. We were three generations, so the bedroom and bathroom on 1st floor was very helpful. Since my remembrance of the area is from the 1940’s and 50’s, when my grandmother lived there, it hurt my heart to see the decline of so many houses. “Wished that the units were connected. We had two teens with us. Contacted property via messaging asking about rooms set up(connecting door, etc) and never got a response. Spacious suites. Decent location for the purpose of our trip.”

“This property was terrible. We arrived to find the house filthy and all the beds unmade. Trash everywhere, food left out on counters, blood in one of the beds. We could not stay here and booked another hotel at 11:00 PM in Pittsburgh. I have never seen such a filthy vacation rental. ”

“The house was small and had an odor of stale French fries which the owner tried to cover up. The owner lived in the basement of the house. There was no off-street parking. The owner controlled the thermostat from the basement. I just found out that the owner also charged us $25 for laundry. Yet there was no washer and dryer. Seriously - does anyone from VRBO do any type of inspection before they approve a house for rental?”
