Conveniently located. Parked our car the1st day we got there & didnât move until we checked out. Less than 10 minutes, but more than 5 minute walk from the Algiers Ferry. Perfect w/3 day ferry pass to & from the French Quarter. French Quarter experience but none of noise. Neighborhood nice, sidewalks bumpy and a little rough in some spots. House is very nice. Itâs old so you have old house noises but very charming. Furnishings are mostly antique, but comfortable. BC furnishings are older I wish there were luggage stands and plastic hangers. I had to place our luggage on the floor. Bruce was out of town on vacation, but still responded with any concerns I had. The beds were firm and comfortable. I always bring my own pillow and blanket, so canât comment on that. The showers were nice, water hot when needed. Very happy for the washer and dryer, because being summer we sweated with all the daily walking we would do, so it was nice to be able to wash our clothes in the evening. The only rooms that had window coverings were the bedrooms, so I kind of felt like we were on display in the kitchen, dining, and living rooms especially in the evening. No name brand grocery store nearby. Restaurants nearby that we tried and liked-Dry Dock and Nighthawk Napoletana Pizza. Itâs hard to get back on the highway and they seemed to block some streets in the evening. Rough sidewalks, blocked streets, and difficulty getting back on the highway is a city problem. Would definitely stay again.
