“This cabin has a lot of character and charm. I loved it because it reminded me of going to deer camp with my Dad when I was younger. If you have nostalgia for rustic living in the woods and the smell of a wood stove, this cabin is an absolute nostalgia-filled joy to stay in. It's a great place to relive those youthful memories, even though it's not the same cabin I stayed in as a kid. “Great stay, as described, tidy, neat, clean linens and bathroom. Great location, dark sky, no neighbors, and a beautiful view. In June, mosquitos were formidable, but a non-issue with the right spray and mitigation. Cell service was very poor, which is a pro and con. Can call out via Verizon and have necessary contact, if needed. Host was very good to communicate with and shared a great location with us. ”

“The property seemed clean and comfortable. The heating system worked well. We cooked several meals there and enjoyed 4 nights of excellent sleep. We also used the outdoor grill, using wood, and found it easy to use as well. I would definitely stay here again.”

“We really loved this place. It was close enough to places we wanted to see in all directions. The hosts were very friendly and responsive and they had firewood and stuff to make smores available for use. Would definitely stay there again.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this property! The location felt private but was very close to the main road running alongside Lake Superior. About 20 minutes from Tahquamenon Falls; about 10 minutes from the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable! The stairs are steep, so ascend with care, but very doable. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Our visit worked out exactly as hoped, giving us the perfect central location to get to Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti Kipi , Tahquamenon Falls, and Benny the Beard Fisher. A few things to keep in mind though when you choose this property: the upstairs bedroom is an open loft (without a door for privacy), evening dining on the rear deck has a lovely view but is subject to loud road noise, and if you have someone sleeping on the pullouts in the living room it is quite comfortable...

“Great property in a great location. We had a group of 6 of us that have been coming up to the UP for 10 years snowmobiling and are always looking for a nice place. This definitely qualifies. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Nicely remodeled, great views, easy lake access. Plenty of parking area. Would recommend, and will try to stay here again!”
