“Of all the places I've rented, this is my favorite. Cannot beat the location and amenities and charm this place has. Loved the paper plates on the walls. The host had this stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. Loved watching the horses run every morning and evening, the various wildlife living the rocks near the cabin, and the beautiful views, especially every evening. I hope to take many more vacations in the Black Hills, and this will be the place I look first to rent. ”

Located 20 minutes from Custer, this property is on 160 acres of highly maintained and manicured property between two mountains. This property is tucked away on a road that has little to no traffic, a well maintained dirt/gravel road that is better than some highways. “Excellent communication from the start. The check in process couldn’t have been any easier. I travel to the black hills area multiple times a year with my Weimaraner (now 2 weims). Even my girls seemed at ease. Traveling with dogs can be very difficult. It was nice to be able to settle in so effortlessly. Every time we would leave to go hike some trails and come back, they both acted like they do at home! The house is located in a great spot to be far enough from over crowded tourist areas but...

“We came for a few days to enjoy this part of the Black Hills and lodging at Ponderosa Place was perfect for our needs! Our cabin was very cozy for the 2 of us with our grandson. It was well stocked to meet any of our needs, and is located such a short distance from Main street in Custer, yet still set within a quiet corner of town. We were just minutes away from Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse monument, the Needles highway and Custer State Park! What more can you ask for? We loved it!”
