âThis was a great choice for my family of five traveling to Kyoto. It was exceptionally clean and the suite was spacious. Free coffee, tea, sake and beer in the lobby was a nice amenity. It was easy to walk to the train station and other local attractions from this location. Riding the train was extremely easy. There were options for dining and coffee within walking distance as well as convenience stores and supermarkets. It was also easy to grab an Uber and receive Uber eats. I loved the shower...
âTop service. Staff is super friendly and serviceminded. Room is big and everything in it is top class and new. Hotel hasn't a restaurant or dining room so breakfast is served to the room. Breakfast is good but almost to much. Beds har a bit hard as always in hotels.â
âIt was our familyâs first time staying at a machiya. It was an easy place to find upon arrival in Kyoto. The house was lovely. The tea ceremony at check-in along with the Japanese sweets were much appreciated. They were able to help us arrange for delivery of our luggage onwards to our next city. âSuch a beautiful and well maintained property. The spa and hot spring pools were exceptional. The restaurants at the hotel were excellent as well. â
âWonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. â
âWe stayed in a lot of places during our trip in Japan, from hostels to high rise hotels. This little gem off the beaten path was awesome. Japanese style beds, free laundry (even had laundry soap) and stellar shower/bathing facilities. Would certainty stay here againâ
