“One of the most unique properties we have ever stayed at. The room is a combination of old and new done exceedingly well. The property manager is outstanding. ”

We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value.”
“Cannot say enough good things about this monastery. The food was top notch. So healthy and delicious. Our best meals in Japan (vegan food that will amaze you- and we are not even vegan)! The staff is so kind and welcoming. Do not miss the chanting ceremony in the morning. Loved the room with its traditional Japanese experience and garden view. Perfect location across the street from the temple complex. Don’t miss walking around it at night. Breathtakingly beautiful.”
“We arrived in the afternoon, after a travel from Tokyo,and there we where welcomed with green tea and a small bite of sweets made with green beans. Afterwards we got a introduction to the room from a English speaking staff. We got our dinner served to our room, that was very interesting. There are many directions on how to use the Onsen natural bath that is very relaxing ones you have read all the instructions. “Spititual and interesring trip where we learned a lot about the specific Kukai buddhist religion, went on the cementary night tour and visited a lot of the temples. We joined the morning and afternoon meditations and everything was great - only the western turists were being unpolite and disrespectful in these ceremonies. The munks who are in charge of the whole hotel are really nice and helpful. Food was delicious! ”

"Bästa hotellen jag har varit på i Japan. Väldigt nära dotonbori, tillgång till namba walk (underjorden passage) och 2 minuter till namba station. Lite jobbigt med städningen då dom har ett stort span på när man måste lämna rummet och när dom städar klart rummet"
"Central location, very nice onsen with multiple pools (one cold) and a sauna. Rooftop pool is nice but entrance is booked in advance. The view is worth it though. Top restaurant is nice: food is good but the interior could be improved. It’s ok though. Staff is very friendly."

The beds were really comfortable and I loved that the toilet was in a separate room, and also the showerroom with both amazing shower and the possibility to take a bath.
Nice and luxurious feeling bath robes and the amenities.
The breakfast offerered big varietes and possibility to ger your omelette made as you prefer. Close to Namba station, walking distanse. You have everything you need in this area, with lots of shops and convenient stores.
Very good service from staff at the hotel.
