It is within walking distance to the shops, coffee, the waterfront and the grocery store. If it wasn’t for a few rainy, cold days, we probably would have walked everywhere! The house was beautiful with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living spaces, including a game room that helped keep all 5 kids in our party entertained for hours. Located minutes away from gorgeous Acadia trails and Bar Harbor, it was easy to go anywhere we wanted. AND we saw an otter trot by from the nearby creek—a definite highlight! Would definitely recommend. ”

“Arrived to a clean, well decorated cottage. Smaller than expected for four adults. The view made up for any shortcomings. A small screened in porch, a deck, large flat granite rocks, the outside seating options are numerous. Best part of our day, coffee on the deck watching lobster boats, hearing loons, marveling at the sunrise. Be aware the use of the fireplace is prohibited. Would have been great on a rainy day. “ We absolutely loved our time at Escape lake house in Maine! The setting was gorgeous and cannot be beat. The view is never the same and we loved watching the changing light on the water. The house is as described in the listing and the primary bedroom and bathroom are great. Note that one of the “bathrooms” is actually in a side entry room with the washer/dryer and extra stove, and is not super private. Also, 2 of the showers are very small stand-up showers. “We stayed 4 nights at this awesome home with convenient access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Plenty of room and very quiet location. The kitchen was very well appointed with modern cookware and plenty of dishes, etc. The bedrooms were quiet and very comfortable. Bonus; we has an awesome viewing of the Northern Lights! The property manager was very responsive to questions as well. I would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area!”
