"Ett bra alternativ nära flygplatsen. Vi fick ett rymligt rum med stora bekväma sängar. Det var skönt att ha fåtöljer och inte bara en skrivbordsstol. Det enda som störde var luftkonditioneringen. Emellanåt drog den igång som värsta flygmotorn och jag vaknade flera gånger av den. Restaurangen hade bra mat och frukostbuffén var helt okej. Det som stack ut under vår vistelse var personalen, som var trevlig och otroligt hjälpsam. Det gäller alla, från receptionen till bell desken och serveringen."

"Ett boende som fungerar utmärkt för en natt mellan två flygresor. Så nära terminalen att vi promenerade till hotellet, medan vi tog shutteln tillbaka. Shutteln gick så ofta att det bara var att kliva på direkt efter utcheckning. Bekväma sängar och stort nog för två personer. Hade man varit fyra hade det känts trångt. Rent och bekväma sängar. En underlig skjutdörr till badrummet som känsliga personer möjligen kan känna sig obekväma med. Restaurangen var okej med trevlig personal. Lite väl stora portioner, i synnerhet när det är omöjligt att ta med sig rester. Kan tycka att det var lite dyrt. Motsvarande drygt tusen kronor för en pasta, en burgare, ett glas vin och ett glas vatten. "

"Perfekt hotell för oss mellan två 12-timmarsflygningar. Perfekt Chuttlebus, tar max 10 min. Bra restaurang och möjlighet att handla en del matvaror, gym m.m"

"I was planning to stay for 3 nights at Glendale Express Hotel, but I left after the first night due to several issues. The hotel is very old, with a musty smell in the room, and the walls are incredibly thin. I could hear everything from the neighboring room – there was a loud party going on all night, complete with dancing, children crying, and constant noise. It was impossible to get any sleep. The room itself was small, outdated, and uncomfortable. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will never stay here again. Terrible experience overall."

"Really nice hotel but can’t really see why anyone would like to stay in this part of LA unless your doing business in downtown or have friends to visit there like I had. Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents. The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and don’t look down into your phone. Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building won’t give so much skyview at all in downtown LA. Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought that’s just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb! So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!). The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect. So this hotel can’t do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management. "

"It was impossible to sleep. It sounds like the planes get away was in the room. I thought that Hilton had high standard on there. Hotel. There seems too bee no sound-proofing at all. When I go down and complain after been awake 4-5 hours the guy in reception don’t care at all. Never Hilton again."

"Had emailed the hotel 2 months in advance and asked about the airport transfer - no reply. Arrived LAX and went to the shuttle bus area. Texted the hotel. No reply. After 25 minutes gave up and took a taxi. Arrived the hotel and asked what happened to the airport transfer. “-you need to call us” Really!!? I have no phone plan in the US. Checked into room which reeked of disinfectant to the point of headache within one minute. Went down again to change room. That involved house keeping and took 20 minutes. New room. The bathroom sliding door is near impossible to close. Worst hotel stay in years. "
