“We liked the location in Birchwood and the service. Very basic motel but close to main street and gas station. We went to Birchwood for ATV/UTV trails so did not spend much time in the rooms.”

“We were pleasantly surprised to find small fridge , microwave and coffee maker. These were not noted in amenities. Hot water supply is ample for a nice soak after hitting the trails. DirectTV gave plenty of viewing options.”

“No snow, and too early and cold for outdoor activities, but we still had a great time! The ice was just starting to melt and both geese and swans graced us with their presence. The fireplace was wonderful. We actually didn't eat out at all and found cooking there to be fine. One thing I didn't see in the description or reviews is that the porch is independently heated, so you can use it year round. (forgive me if I'm wrong about that). The porch is beautiful! It's about 10-15" out of Hayward, so...
