We had a small problem with the stove, and it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily by the host. Great communication and response.This fit our little group perfectly. We were there for wrestling and the bonus of being able to run in the state park next door and on the beach was just amazing!

A perfect beach house for our family of four. The living room, with its giant window looking into green trees, and a mirrored wall, felt even more spacious than it was. The old leather sofas were comfy for watching TV, the dining table great for family meals and games, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking at home. The house is perfectly designed for a relaxing vacation. Just a short walk to the giant empty beach (though you have to cross a busy street) or you could drive over in the morning and park easily. The supermarket and other downtown spots are a short drive away. Beds were comfortable, showers small but good, stairs up didn't bother us. We didn't venture into the park because of the biting flies outside, but the beach was bugfree, and I bet in other seasons it's wonderful. There were a few minor things we needed, but the host promised to supply them for the next guests. The north end of the beach is so pleasant and peaceful – perfect for a quiet family vacation.

Excellent location, within two blocks of the beach and right next to the First Landing State Park. Just over two miles from the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Probably not the place for you if you don't like climbing stairs, but we had a great time during our visit.

Our stay at "Gone Fishing" was great! We couldn't have asked for a better location - just steps away from the park and minutes from the beach. The only drawback was the number of stairs. Thanks!

Great, Quiet Location

We had a wonderful stay at this beach condo on the edge of Seashore Commonwealth Park. The location was quiet but we'll positioned for beach visits or dinners down on the strip. The condo was very clean and we felt right at home. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Tree House by the Beach

Felt like we were nestled in a treehouse. Property is situated perfectly in a quiet residential neighborhood at the entrance of First Landing and across the street from the beach! House was well stocked with kitchen and beach necessities. Loved the open concept kitchen/dining and balcony for family time.

VA Beach

We were in the area for our grandson’s wrestling duel matches at the sports center. Nice neighborhood for walks and bike rides.Conveniently located next to the state park. Easy access to public beach.

Wonderful home and location

Gone Fishing is just as advertised. My wife and I and our adult children had a terrific time. Check in was easy and the proximity to the beach and the park was perfect us. The location was quiet and secluded with trees and privacy despite being fairly close to other homes.

Family Fun

This was a great house to accommodate my husband, four year old son, grandma and Grandpa and a last minute addition of my sister. It fit us all great and the top area was wonderful to gather and chat about our day. We had a big event at the Naval Base to attend and it was close to the beach and the base! Just perfect.

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this property. The house was immaculate and as pictured. There is a nice tree top view (light and airy with all the windows) from the 3rd floor that is the main living space. Our family spent a lot of time in the early morning and later evenings relaxing and being comfortable in this space. There is also the convenience of the half bath on that same floor. The bedrooms were nice, the beds comfortable and the sheets of good quality. There are 2 outside decks and we used the top one daily. The kitchen has most everything you could need. The showers are a little tight but shouldn't be an issue for most people. There is good water pressure and lots of hot water.The park entrance is maybe 200 feet from the house and the beach is a 5 minute walk. You do have to cross a 4 lane main road but it was not difficult or unsafe to do so. We loved being close enough to walk there. The trails through the park and easy and have benches along the way and some really pretty views of the water.We used the laundry and the outdoor shower and both worked great. We really enjoyed our stay here, had no issues and would consider this property for a future stay.

Nice get away

The house was clean and had a nice location away from crowds. We didn't realize there were not any bath towels but other than that, everything was as stated.

Perfect Location!

We just spend 6 fantastic days at this property, we really enjoyed the house, the location, and the beach! The beach is only a 5 minute walk, and it is away from the more crowded boardwalk beach area, with plenty of space to "social distance". The house is right next to the entrance of a State Park with wonderful trails to bike and walk (bring your bicycles!). The house is very well stocked. We really had a great time and we are looking forward to staying at this property again soon.
