“Owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Overall, the property was very nice and cute. Good location with many restaurants within walking condition. The owner himself goes to the market every morning and chooses what's fresh and decides what he's going to make for breakfast. He asks about preferences, tolerances, allergies, etc. We saw some deer run through the property within an hour of arriving. The stay was very nice! Thank you!”

“It was a wonderful getaway, quiet and relaxing. The staff, including Lucky the cat, were all super friendly. Even our fellow visitors were friendly, it felt more like being part of a community than a customer at a chain hotel. The breakfast was homemade and excellent.”

“I was on a biking adventure, an annual thing that happens around my birthday, and looking for a place to stay in Lake County. Thorn Hill is in a beautiful location that also happened to be convenient for me.”

“We had a great one night stay. I got caught up in a wave down by the beach and was soaked from head to toe. The hosts insisted on washing and drying all of my clothes and left them by our room while we went and enjoyed the area. The room was very comfortable, great bed and wonderful hosts.”

“Had an amazing visit here this October! Everyone was very friendly, we got a personal tour around the vineyard followed by a wine tasting. The space was all very recently renovated, so everything was clean and new. The next morning, we even got a private chef breakfast! It was really nice having some peace and quiet away from busier Napa for a night. Next time I would want to bring some food to cook with us, since it is worth noting that there aren't many restaurant options in the area, but...

“I can’t say enough about this place. I usually always stay at high-end hotels and let me tell you something, these folks do it right!! We had an amazing meal that we cook on their barbecue grill. They were so accommodating from anything from olive oil to utensils even cutting boards and let me just tell you an amazing breakfast cook to order and again great host also impressed with their sheets, towels and bedding I did not want to leave, I even made a comment today adopt me. 😉”

“Omg!!! The Highlands Ranch Resort is a hidden gem!! Gorgeous surroundings, 10 min drive outside Lassen Volcanic NP. The individual cottages with fireplaces, heated tiled bathroom floors, the most comfortable bed and bedding! In the morning light snow was falling - breath taking views! Our dinner and drinks in the main lodge with a roaring fire was 5 star!! This place is a must!! It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!
