“A cottage well equipped to make meals, enjoy sunsets in porch without worry of mosquitos, equipment for folks who enjoy water sports. However, no TV coverage, only WIFI so evenings , if not folks who enjoy doing games, watching DVDs, evenings can be boring. Toilet usage can be a bit troublesome if a large group as takes time for removal of wastes via toilet. Overall, for us, it met our needs. ”

“Lisa's property was perfect for a winter weekend away from the city. The river was running and beautiful to sit next to, and we used the outdoor firepit and indoor fireplace to make everything really cosy.The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen completely equipped for any kind of cooking we wanted to do. ”

“We were 10 guys on motorcycles, and the place was perfect for our needs. Donald was a great host and took us through all of the process at the beginning of our stay. He was flexible and courteous. It isn’t a ritz Carleton, but it has plenty of space to accommodate large groups comfortably. Will definitely be back!”

“We had a great time in our short stay here. Great view at the back of the cottage from the inside, and being by the river on a hot day is fantastic. Although this is a smaller place, there is still plenty of room and the layout is functional. Great to be able to use the bbq for dinners. Would definitely recommend to any looking to get away from the city. Close enough to Ottawa for day trips into the city for exploring. ”

“Cute little cottage with all necessary amenities within. Dock area is quiet, and with no neighbours across the river, it has a gorgeous uninterrupted view. Cottage is kept clean although some ants made their way into the kitchen & bathroom. Overall we had a nice stay!”

“This is our third time staying at this lovely and clean cottage. It is cozy with scenic views being its right on the lake. The owners are kind, approachable, very reasonable, communicative and flexible. We plan to stay here annually for years to come :-)”

“Everything was as described. All amenities worked well. Beautiful view and a private beach. A two minute drive to Calabogie golf course was a bonus (and a fantastic course at that!). Quick and easy communication with the host. We will very likely be back in the future. ”

“Was a very good stay. I was personally there for a work trip but brought my wife and shih-tzus along as well. The property is very well set up for dog owners as there is a fenced dog area to let them go pee and even the front deck has a dog gate. Space is very large and quite modern for a cottage. simple kayaks and canoe's on-site. Simple of the infrastructure (i.e. docks and chairs on dock) could use some some repairs. But overall superb stay”

“Lakepoint was amazing! Stayed for a weekend with our dog and the area was perfect. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was functional and bbq was very nice. Gas stations and convenience stores 15 mins away. All together a great comfortable stay ”
