“What an absolutely beautiful place. My wife and I spent an extended weekend for our anniversary to get away and relax. My wife loves to cook, and this kitchen was so well thought out, it had everything she needed. The only thing to note was that if you are a light sleeper and sleep in the bedroom on the main floor, the heat pump may wake you up when it kicks on. We wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back maybe in the fall or again next winter.”

“My husband and I (and our dog) stayed here for our anniversary weekend. It was very clean when we arrived and smelled like pine. Super cozy! As other reviews mentioned the doors are a hard to close but it’s doable! Not a problem at all. And as far as the “close to the road” it’s not a problem at all. I think we saw 3-4 cars go by the entire weekend. Very quiet road! “Really had a wonderful time staying 2 nites, and visited the lake many times, spent the majority of our time down there. Took the canoe out each day, wonderful quiet and private lake, and never saw anyone else on it. ATV trails close by, but did not disrupt or trip. The cabin had a lot of really sweet touches, making it a step up (and more comfortable) that basic camping. Would love to visit again in another season!!”

“Amazing location and coziest wooden cabin. The cast iron stove kept us toasty and warm. Markus and Burgi were great hosts! We did a improvised winter canoe trip and got to see a family of otters! In a nutshell: it was all and more we wanted for a getaway weekend.”

“We arrived on a Thursday when the sun was shining. We sat on the comfy chairs at the water and enjoyed the quietness of the water and area. The home is lovely inside with inviting space for many people. There are 3 areas to enjoy a meal depending on your crowd size. The beds were comfy, pillows maybe not so much, but that is a personal preference. We had 5 adults in total staying at the time. There are 3 spaces to shower, while we tended to use the ensuite shower. Would recommend the property...
