“We spent a night on our way down the east coast. Such a great place to stop to allow space for our dog to stretch after a long day of driving. Coffee,snacks and water left for us and the place was really clean. I would absolutely stop here again. If you’re looking for a dogs paradise and a stay away from the hustle and bustle, this is it!”

“Cozy comfortable house in the country. Comfortable while you’re traveling. Noticed mice had been in the kitchen while we were sleeping, and got into our food. Droppings were in the area but never seen them with my own eyes. I would stay again. Awesome pricing. Overall a 7.5”

“We went for a 3 day weekend to run a trail race in Grayson Highlands state park. The house was a 30 minute drive from the park. Beautiful drive to the house and the park. We enjoyed resting at the house before and after our time at the park. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The property was lovely and we enjoyed walking the property and sitting outside reading.”

“Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at Sweet Retreat. While it was cold and snowy outside we were able to relax in a spacious home and also partake of the hot tub. Large fenced backyard was great for the pup while in the summer it would combine great with the pool and outdoor amenities!”

“Yes, it was a little out of the ordinary, but that's a good thing! Easiest "camping" experience you'll ever have. Your own private (new, flush) commode, kitchen, and huge shower! A/c and heat in the camper. What more could you want? Definitely an adventure in the hills of eastern Virginia.”

“Had a lovely time. House is great and beautifully furnished. Enjoyed all the rooms. Some suggestions: 1. the bunk bed room was freezing cold, might want to add a heat source 2. You should advertise that there are two refrigerators in the kitchen. We loved that, but we all brought large coolers for beverages and they weren’t needed. 3. “We stayed 2 nights in the carriage house at the Litz mansion. Immaculate- great steam shower, comfortable bed and pillows/ Everything you could want or need! Considering places to stay in the area, the Litz house and the especially the carriage house are way better than the other options.”

“We first visited Tazewell 3 years ago when there was 8 of us riding the Back of the Dragon and we had a great stay at The Litz.This visit was great even though there was only 2 of us, we had the whole house to ourselves. It was like a grown-up version of Home Alone!”
