“We were at the sister lodge at the other end of town which was appeared to be much older and was behind some derelict looking buildings. I was surprised as we had booked the room many months in advance. Staff were friendly and helpful, unfortunately we didn’t realise we were arriving on a bank holiday Monday and there was absolutely nothing open. We ended up travelling back to Terrace Bay and eating there, then went for a walk along the beach which was lovely…as was the beach in Schreiber - well...

“No laundry. Room was clean and staff helpful. No shops nearby.”

“Convenient location, fairly priced, gives you the basics needed for a home base to go back to after exploring Kenora & surrounding area (bed, shower, tv). Walls are quite thin, may not be able to count on sleeping in. Could hear kids laughing at 9am in another room loud enough to make it sound like they were in the same room. Or perhaps they were in the shared entrance area and it was a doorway sound proofing.issue, either way it was disruptive.”

“A quaint motel, though dated furnishings, it was as clean, spacious and comfortable as any 4star hotel. (Even the tracks of the windows was spotless.) The price for the room was well worth the experience. A single family owns the motel and it is a work in progress. The work being done is craftsman quality, no caulking slapped on around floor boards or shower!! The staff was amazing.
