âLovely place to stay the night whilst we were visiting Chatsworth House. Nice and quiet ample parking. The room was really clean and everything we needed was provided even a fan which was a god send as the weather was sweltering. Had a perfect nights sleep. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly both at the reception and in the restaurant. We had both and evening meal and breakfast the food was lovely, hot and well prepared. We had drinks in the garden over looking the beautiful field's...

Staff from outset were welcoming and the rooms was better than expected.
Food in the restaurant was amazing.
Overall the 2 day stay was well worth it.

The hot spring is excellent (even though the main indoor pool was a hotter than the super-nice temperature on previous occasions), breakfast is good, rooms are comfortable (although aircon was not working well this time and one had to sleep with open windows, it was reasonably quiet), convenient parking nearbyâ

âThe restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly. The food was good value for money. We went to Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show and it is a very easy walk. There is also a large garden centre very near. There was plently of parking at the property and the bedroom was huge. Very good place to stay.â
âThe place is a little outdated, but we expected that from the pictures. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, it's clean, the beds are firm (a bit too firm for my liking, but my husband loved them!). We had a family room, and it was very spacious, there was a king size bed for us and two proper single beds for the kids. All in all very good value for your money!â
âLovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire.â

"The location was great and the staff tried hard, however, everything else was only just okay. The door lock system does not work well with you having to replace the keys frequently. Also, all the public areas are too small. The worst was getting into the breakfast room there were queues and some days impossible to get in."
