Hotell nära Old Mount Gambier Gaol

“We were blown away by our stay in this wonderful property. It is small boutique hotel which has been immaculately restored by the owners. We had a suite consisting of a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. It was well equipped, warm and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the adjacent Commodore Hotel and the food was very good. This is one of the best places we have stayed in on our Australia trip.”

“Great location right downtown. Clean and apparently recently renovated. Good value for money.”

“OK, so it's a real prison. And we were staying off-season, and by chance we were the only guests there that night... and the check-in was all automatic. So the whole thing was kind of surreal as we walked around the prison yard, reading the signs about historic prison life etc. You REALLY get the vibe of being in an old gaol, so don't stay there if you're going to get freaked out by things like that. “Amazing place to stay”

“The enormous White room had a very comfy king-size bed, a large and clean bathroom (with bathtub), all in a 18th century style. The central air condition very quiet. A complimentary wine bottle was a nice touch, as well as the free coffe/tea and home made cookies and cakes downstairs. Garden outside very well kept. ”

“Väl inom förväntningen på ett äldre o billigare ställe.”

“Rooms were huge, lovely bath in bathroom as well. But the man at the reception was amazing. Had alot of information about places to see and recomendations and even went out of his way to get more for us. Would def recommend this place”

“We booked room including breakfast, when we checked in the hotel said our booking did not include breakfast and that Hotels.com had made a mistake. After I called Hotels.com, the hotel agreed to give us breakfast, but not including anything other than toast and cereals. Surely if the hotel only offers continential breakfast say that then! really disappointed.”

“Good”

“Vi skulle gå ut och äta på kvällen, men det var ingen restaurang som serverade mat efter kl.21. Som tur var var hittade vi en takeaway-pizzeria. Vi var på genomresa, men stannade till vid Blue lake som var jättefin.”

“Mycket stora fina rum. Frkosten OK, men ej mer. Mycket god mat på hotellets restaurang! Dock fullbokat när vi kom, men ett bord ordnades efter någon timme. Utsökt mat och utsökt sömn i en skön säng i ett fint rum Fint på hotellområdet.”
