“Spicer’s guesthouse was lovely, with modern and comfortable rooms and the grounds were very pretty, with manicured gardens and wild kangaroos watching from a distance. The staff were friendly but maybe not always as attentive as they could have been. Given the guesthouse is the premium hotel of the Hunter Valley and was quite expensive I’m just uncertain as to what exactly we paid for. I think if you’re going to have a premium price you should be able to justify it in some way by distinguishing...

“Pool is out of service. As soon as we got into the room we had no power, had to go and get someone to reset the power box. Could not use the tv as the 2 remotes were for a complete different brand tv and would not change the Chanel. Supplied with 1 pillow. Went to reception to see if we could please get another pillow and a tv remote, was advised all rooms are full (even though there was hardly anyone there) so no pillow and they had to get maintenance for the tv. “Wi-fi didn't work at our Room. Or we didn't get connection at all so that was the bad part, which effected our visit a lot. But otherwhise, VERY fresh, clean and still. If you don't need internet this is a great budget choice.”
