My husband and I decided to book a last-minute getaway and found this absolute gem of a place! I actually think the cabin is NICER than the photos, which is a first for us. :) The cabin in set in such a peaceful and beautiful location.
As mentioned, it is about a 20-ish min drive from Omak, exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful cabin in a quiet location. We spent the week relaxing, reading, making food, and exploring different areas around the Okanogan. This part of WA is new to us and the landscape is so unique. It was very hot during our stay but the cabin had wonderful A/C. Satellite internet was just fine for us, but don’t expect to do any Zoom calls as someone else pointed out. No cell reception at the house for us (T-Mobile), which again was not an issue.
The cabin feels like someone’s home and is warm and comfortable. There were only two of us so we didn’t use the upstairs rooms, which were spacious too.
We visited the ghost town of Molson (and museum - charming), drove along the Canada/US border (so beautiful), drove into Omak, the Chesaw wildlife area, Crawfish lake, the Okanogan National Forest, and then down to the Colville Reservation museum (essential if visiting the dam) and the Coulee Dam too.
The birding was wonderful, the sounds of cows, crickets, the expansive sky and stars - all so wonderful! We’ll definitely be back to this special place.
