“If you haven't seen the movie On Golden Pond, you can watch it on YouTube. You'll know exactly what to expect for decor and ambience.This was an exceptional experience! Someone posted about the screen door slamming each time you closed it. My Great Grandparents door did the same, when I didn't control it. I felt like that excited little kid, each time I heard it. We rarely went inside. The screen porch was too peaceful. The loon sounds were mesmerizing. Don't be envious that you have less sun....

“Cabin is wonderfully renovated with modern conveniences while fully embracing the "get away from it all" theme. Property was super clean and easy communication with in-town property manager. Fantastic master bedroom and perfect kitchen and sitting area for meals, table games and just disconnecting from it all. Dock with adirondack chairs was peaceful. Loon Lake is perfect by itself, but the supplied 2 kayaks made it even better. Owner is fantastic. Hope to return soon. 5 stars!!”

“I was looking for a place close to Sugarloaf to stay for two families. This place was 20 minutes from the mountain and was perfect for us with enough beds for everyone.”

“Love this area!! This is our third visit to Saddleback and will not be our last. Beautiful home, great location! I could not have asked for more. The only minor disappointment was the fireplace was not working. Not a deal breaker, but we love to come back after a cold day of skiing and warm up by a fire. Again, wasn’t a huge deal and we loved our time there. Looking forward to the next trip in the near future.”

“Great location on Akers pond with snowmobile access footsteps from the door onto the lake accompanied by great views from the home. We caught a handful of rainbows as well as other fish and when you wanted to change it up, you had direct access to the main trails for a good ride on the sleds. Tom was great and very quick to answer any questions that I had. His place was very comfortable and was supplied with everything one needs to really relax and enjoy the property to the fullest.”

“We had a great short late-winter weekend stay to view the eclipse. While April is not the best month to enjoy the seasonal amenities we had plenty to do and enjoy. The house is comfortably rustic with large spaces designed for varied indoor activities.”

“Great Place, clean, cozy, roomy…would definitely stay there again… wish the sauna was functional…need to replace the hot tub filters, kept flashing error and we had to hit the breaker daily to reset it.”

“Very nice property. Not sure if there is access to Rangeley Lake as we could not find an access location. Property could use a Kurig type coffee machine rather than the old Mr Coffee style machine. Also most properties at this price point have basics such as a hair dryer etc. we will certainly consider this property again in the future.”

“Saddleback Mountain is the best!! It’s about a 15 min drive to the lodge maybe even less. The cabin is just that, it was you would expect but there was plenty of space for us 2 adults and 4 kids ages 10-17. My only suggestion to future guest id if you like to cook bring some quality pans.”

“We had such an incredible time staying at the main cabin. The place was very clean, and the views WOW!! The cabin is surrounded by water in two sides and has a great sandy beach. The water was too low this time of the year to dock the boat, but was able to pull up on the beach easily. Boat launch is just down the road a little over a mile. Easy to drive to Oquossoc or Rangeley from here, but honestly this place has all you need! We are already planning our next weekend trip here. Owners were...
