With sweeping views across Prosser Bay and to Maria Island, our modern shack has a relaxed coastal vibe and is suitable for a couple, families or a group of friends.

The open plan living area spills onto both front and back decks, all with stunning 270-degree views. The back deck contains an eight-seat table, a three-seat bar, and an outdoor lounge. The front deck has a lounger and a two-seat table.

Inside you can cook in the well-equipped kitchen while still entertaining your group at the four stool island bench, eight-seat table, or seven seated lounge area.

If you don't want to watch TV or a DVD from the well-stocked collection, you can complete a puzzle, play one of the many board games or read a book as you relax and watch the weather move across the bay. Please note that WiFi is not available and the tv isn’t ‘smart’.

The modern bathroom contains a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, a double sink with a large mirror, and a second toilet.

Please note, while we cater for groups up to eight (8) this is not a party house. Please respect our neighbors. 😊

Fabulous house - great for family and very clean. Kitchen was well equipped and everything we needed including for cooking meals at the house. Large bathroom with separate toilet was great. Good amount of room for parking with a trailer - although need to be aware of steeper driveway and could park on street out the front. Orford was a great base for trips to Maria Island, Tasman Peninsula day trip and Freycinet day trip. Very relaxing village atmosphere with good cafes and fun to do the Park Run on Saturday morning. Highly recommended.

Better than described

This place was a massive surprise. The photos do not do it justice, it is far better than what the photos show. We stayed here purely to visit Maria Island and it was a simple 10 minute drive to the ferry. It had amazing views across the water to Maria Island and you could sit on the balcony and admire the view. We would definitely stay here again

We had a fantastic holiday away from home at this property. Allison was fantastic, so easy to talk with. The only suggestions we have, is a bigger toaster, cupboard space available in the kid’s bedroom – as we had 4 kids in the bunk room, and no space to put clothing away, and boards or something on the bottom of the driveway - as it was difficult to get my low car in and out - but we managed! Other than that, it was a beautiful house, the location was fantastic, so close to everything we needed and wanted. We loved it and would love to come back again next year!

Room for improvement

The property itself was good however there were a few areas that could be improved on.-Smart TV with WiFi would have been good - every other place I have stayed has it-Some tourist info.-the rubbish bin for recycling and one for general rubbishSome of the instructions were lacking ie. when rubbish goes out; also what to do with linen, towels etc. when leaving.

A lovely place to revive.

Very clean and comfortable with great views of the ocean. We loved sitting on the balcony taking in the view. The home was peaceful and quiet and in a great location. The location gave us easy access to many points of interest such as the ferry to Maria Island.

Excellent property in fantastic location ar Orford

we chose this property for its location in Orford, close to the Maria Island ferries in Triabunna. We spent 5 nights here and cannot reccomend the house highly enough. We are seniors so the peaceful surroundings suited us very well. The house contains everything you need, has wonderful sea views and you can hear the gentle sound of surf too. The best choice in Orford or Triabunna.

Great place away from the city

The house was pretty comfortable with most facilities we needed. Kids enjoyed the fireplace as we stayed here in colder month. The pricing was pretty competitive. The town of Orford is less busy which is suitable for anyone wanting a laid back holiday. Easy to get to Hobart, Launceston and Port Arthur. The beaches are a walking distance. I will highly recommend it to anyone exploring the east coast of Tasmania.
