“We loved every inch of Sweetwater Cottage. The neighborhood amenities are very nice and easy to access. Bullfrogs sang us to sleep. Spotless and comfortable! Super quiet neighborhood. Nothing is closer than Oriental, so plan your trip accordingly. We ate at Brantley’s, Barcos, and Toucan Bar and Grill. All were good. We took the ferry from Minnesott Beach and spent a day in Morehead/Beaufort-great day trip. We left relaxed and rested. Highly recommend. My only criticism of the trip? It’s...

“We enjoyed the activities that were available from the pool, kayaking, fitness center to the courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball. We did it all! House was great and both owner and property manager were attentive. Beds were not as firm as we would like but spacious and clean. Quiet area and great surroundings! Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!”

“The cottage is as advertised- clean and cute. The property manager and owner were very responsive to our needs. Wifi was fine. Two suggestions for others - use the back door to access the cottage as the sliding door lock is challenging. Also, if you need a quiet location to sleep please know that the Heat/AC split unit is very loud and turns on and off every 10 minutes or so. It woke me multiple times and also made TV hard to hear and conversations challenging. This may not bother others.”

“Great Rental! Accurate description with great sunset views and easy water access. Beds and furniture were comfortable, which isn't always the case!! Really nice new dock with kayak access. Comments note that the road into the property is dirt which was a check in the plus column for this trip. The road is well maintained even if not paved. Hope to return again!”

“Very accommodating cabin. Had everything we needed to enjoy a week long stay. The pool was a regular activity for us as well as fishing in the Neuse. We rode the ferry several days to get to Atlantic beach- not a bad trip at all and the ferry ride was always enjoyable. The beds are super comfy too. We loved it!”

“This was my nephews wedding weekend in New Bern, a lovely weekend it was. My son, his fiancée, my sister, brother-in-law and myself stayed here. Everything was in working order and neat. What was perfect was the large front and back porches, the quiet serene setting and the friendly neighbors. I have a high stress job and this was exactly what I needed to decompress. I hope to come back soon!”
