“Property was as listed. Convenient location to various Acadia National Park locations--halfway between the Bar Harbor and the Schoodic Penninsula. The house was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood. Would stay at this property again.”

“Four humans and one dog stayed at the BRH while in town for a canoe race! The house was welcoming and perfectly clean. Plenty of towels, blankets and a kitchen stocked with appliances that we cooked in. Nice neighborhood for dog walks and easy to get to grocery stores! Check in and out process was seamless and everything was accurately represented! Would certainly highly recommend!!”

“The property was perfect for a several day trip to Acadia. We were two couples and kids and there was room enough for everybody. Everything was clean and all the expected amenities were there and great. The only negative for us was the the downstairs bed was super soft and uncomfortable - but I also realize that's a subjective thing. Some people like soft beds. We didn't get to use the kayak or canoe cos it was too cold but they had all their paddles and looked like they would have been fun to...

“Cute little cottage. Was extremely clean and well decorated inside. Loved the open bright feeling! The sleep number bed was definitely a plus. Our dog Davinci loved being able to run around in the fenced in yard. Host was extremely accommodating!!!!!”

“The overall house was very nice. It was very clean, neat and organized. Our two complaints would be the road to the house was very desolate and full of ruts and very large holes. The water coming out of the faucets smelled awful. It had a very high sulfuric odor. It also came out dark gray when the faucet was first turned on. We had to let it run for awhile. The water that was supposed to be filtered tasted terrible. We ended up buying bottled water.”

“This property was a lot of fun to stay at. It’s a charming, rustic two story cottage with plenty of room for the 10 of us traveling together. It’s 5-10 minutes from Ellsworth and 45 minutes from Acadia. We really enjoyed our time there. Our host, Jon, was great. Each time I contacted him, he responded almost immediately and was very helpful. All towels and linens are provided and there’s plenty of pans and dishes for cooking. “We had a wonderful time but were so busy hiking and enjoying Acadia and Bar Harbor we didn't get to fully enjoy the house. It is a beautiful home with 2 full master suites with their own bathrooms as well as another room with bunkbeds and a private bathroom. The kitchen was well supplied, the couches were very comfortable after long days of hiking. There is also a fantastic basement well furnished with games and a large TV--but we never got down there. The location was private and quiet but...

“Everything about this place was 5+. Great location close enough to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor without the crowds. Exceptionally well stocked with essentials plus nice touches like the s’mores box, row boat, and wood for the fire pit by the water. Linda was great to communicate with and we really appreciated her flexibility with dates in light of Hurricane Lee. If we are fortunate enough to get back, we will book another stay.”

“We enjoyed a couple of nights in this charming home. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was a nice size for preparing meals. We relaxed by the fire and enjoyed the view of the lake. All 4 of us are coffee and wine drinkers so a larger coffee pot and at least 4 wineglasses would have made it perfect.”
