“Great location. We didn’t rent a car so we walked or took the bus everywhere. Everything within Ortigia was far more walkable than we had anticipated from looking at the map. The place itself was super clean and whenever we needed the trash taken out or anything else, we simply sent a WhatsApp message. Super easy and quick communication! Nicely furnished. Because it’s bang in the middle of restaurants and all there is some noise, but we didn’t mind. ”

“This apartment is in an excellent location and it was clean. There are a few things you should be aware of. Shower stall very small - I'm not a big person but super tight turned off water if you moved around a bit. Larger men we traveled with had difficulty. Also could use a few extra towels. “The apartment is in a fantastic position close to the main sights and shops. It was also off a courtyard and so was extremely quiet. The apartment is spacious with a comfortable lounge and dining area. We appreciated the kitchen with everything you needed to cook. Having a washing machine provided was great . Lastly the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.”

“A spacious apartment, but a bit tired. Not very modern. It felt a bit dark. The location was good , but a good fifteen minute walk from the parking. Arrival was fine, the managing agent communicated clearly. The worst aspect was the fishy stink from the rubbish bins situated on the communal landing just above the apartment. It did not enter the apartment, but it was not pleasant on arrival outside each time. All in all it was fine but not wonderful.”

“This was a large apartment, so after a couple of months of travel it gave us some room to stretch out, relax and clean our gear. It sort of felt grand. Perfectly located with a great view and the large windows providing beautiful ventilation. Easy to get to and access. Although the people you talk to and the messages you write don’t necessarily seem to link, we had no problems with arrival or departure.”

“Perfect for ortygia getaway—-great location, excellent communication. Clean, perfect for two people. Be sure to let people know the loft bedroom means navigating steep steps and lots of them—-we are seniors in good shape but others would need to know this. And, picky, picky, we did not see a means for making coffee in the am—-That would make a wonderful place wonderfuller. Grazie!! We loved Ortygia!!!!”

“This is a very nice apartment with best possible location in Ortigia. Small kitchen with the most necessary things and a lovely terass for evening meals. This is the second time we rent this apartment so we do like it a lot. It's on the third floor with a lot of steps so not the best choice if you have problems to walk. Elena, the host, is very helpful with everything.”

“The flat is in good shape, the bed comfortable and it is nice to have a laundry machine in-suite. We had issues communicating with the property manager as we arrived in Syracuse after 6PM on a Friday. Their office closes at 6PM for the weekend. We did finally arrange for a person to check us in, who was very nice and well-informed, but we discovered upon arrival that we had no hot water and it took until Sunday for someone to respond.”
