There are various levels of windows, making this room extremely bright and inviting. Lying between the Berwyn Mountains and the Hirnant Forest, this quiet village is just a short distance from both Lake Vyrnwy and Lake Bala. The towns of Oswestry, Welshpool, and Shrewsbury are situated nearby, and all offer a large range of independent bars, shops, and restaurants for guests to enjoy. All areas of mid and North Wales are easily accessible from the lodge. The Snowdonia National Park starts on top of the Berwyns, and you will find many places to visit for a day trip, including a white-water rafting centre, sailing at Lake Bala, Bounce Below, and Zip World at Blaenau Ffestiniog. A visit to Shropshire is only a 20-minute drive away, where you will find the Severn Valley Railway, RAF Museum Cosford, along with the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. Medieval Powys Castle (National Trust) in Welshpool is a 30-minute drive and has a world-famous garden, or you could visit the charming town of Montgomery, a 45-minute drive, which offers beautiful scenery and walks. The West Wales coastline is only an hour’s drive with lovely sandy beaches.
