“We enjoyed our stay at the property. It had all the basics we needed. You might wanna bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, laundry pods, and dish detergent, depending on the size of your party. The location is 3/5 compared to other properties and if you want to walk to the sand beach. You have to cross a VERY busy road. It took us 30mins from the house to the beach since the traffic light is quite far away. There’s a nice playground close to the house (5 min walk)”

“What a surprise to once again find ourselves in one of the little old OBX cottages after not finding them for about 20 years. BUT it had been recently updated to our delight! New everything in the kitchen was great. The “beach box” was charming and suited to the 2 of us…although we could’ve had 2 more at least. We’ll be back!”

“We had a wonderful few days at this property! It was just as listed and is in a great location directly on the beach. Just a short walk up over the dune each morning to the ocean. The morning view from the decks is amazing. Evenings in the hot tub are the perfect way to end the day. We hope to visit again next summer. ”

“I couldn’t have found a better spot. The house is a stones throw from the beach path and in one of the cozier towns. You can even see the waves from the hot tub. The interior has a nice layout, and everything was scrupulously clean. There’s plenty of places to eat close by as well as a decent supermarket and a great fresh seafood market.”

“This house is in a great location. Well stocked. We enjoyed the crows nest the most! Just a couple suggestions to make- the king mattress was extremely uncomfortable and sunk in on both sides. Might be time to replace. Also, since this is a pet friendly rental, carpets on the stairs inside would be nice. Our dog had a hard time going up and down. Otherwise, everything was great!”

“This house made us into diehard Carova beach fans and I cant imagine wanting to go anywhere else in the world besides there, including this particular home. EXACTLY like the pictures, but better. All outdoor areas were amazing, decorated impeccably with seating areas and absolutely breathtaking views. From the adorable surfboard seating area on the 1st floor, to the hammock swing i never wanted to leave on the 2nd, to the screened in porch and open air area on the third, to the amazing crows...

“House was great and just as described in the listing. Very clean. We had a slight issue with check in (not the owners' fault) and they responded immediately to our request for help. Short walk down a path and over a dune to the beach. We had a great week! ”

“This property was absolutely perfect for us and our dog. The location was great and the private deck and fenced back yard were an added bonus. Our dog was very happy with that! The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Jeanne-Marie is an excellent host and was extremely pleasant and helpful with suggestions as to restaurants and things to do. Will certainly stay here again on our next visit to OBX. ”

“The beach house is located a short walk off the beach in a semi secluded area with trees on left aide and 2 other homes on roght side of house and trees behind. The tree house and zip line were great. The house was clean. It does need some dishes gone through and added and or changed. The beds were firm but comfortable. The water did smell but that is to be expected with well water. All in all the house was great with an occassional horse sighting near by. ”
