We were excited to find this lovely looking, newly renovated home. A pool + hot tub, and a stunning looking living room. When we arrived the first thing we noticed is that the neighbourhood it is located in is very run down, doesn't seem like the safest neighbourhood to be staying in. The home on first appearance was really lovely, the backyard is very pretty, the pool is great for kids as it has a shallow section for them to splash in. We couldn't get the hot tub to heat up, and it took 3-days for someone to come 'switch it on' at the base connecting on the house. At the time of writing this, we still haven't received any refund for this. By day 3 there were ants in nearly every room and crawling out of the kitchen sink. They were in bathrooms, living room, kitchen and doorways, it was really gross. This experience has left a very sour taste in our mouth and how poor the customer service is at Vacasa - I know this isn't specifically the homes problem, but we won't ever book through Vacasa again. If they take care of the pests, lower the rental cost, then maybe this home would be a 5-star rating.
