This is the grooviest home to hit our local market. Originally the desert retreat of screen star Sandra Dee (Gidget, Imitation of Life) and music legend Bobby Darin (Splish Splash, Mack the Knife), this original Alexander-built home is a classic Mid-Century.

Recently and lovingly renovated by West-coast, mid-century enthusiasts who wanted to honor Mid-Century Modern standards, and who commissioned nationally published interior designer and local favorite, Christopher Kennedy for a quintessential interior aesthetic, this home is the perfect backdrop for a flashback trip to Palm Springs with all the modern conveniences.

The colorful redesign captures the essence of the home's heyday in feel, color, and texture, punctuated with memorabilia and reminders of its Hollywood pedigree.

With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 1,225 square feet of tastefully appointed interior living space, this is a hip home with big plans for outdoor entertaining. The South-facing side yard offers a primary suite patio, outdoor shower and sweet hammock for lazy naps and relaxation.

The large West-facing backyard offers walled privacy and fantastic views of Mt. San Jacinto. Enjoy swimming laps or just floating in the large 15 x 30 saltwater pool, or slip into the generous above ground spa. Take time to sip a glass of wine and catch up with friends over the gas fire pit or play a round of bocci ball in the newly installed court.

The home enjoys a Sonos sound system throughout, standard cable, and hi-speed internet (with 50mb down) that can easily support all your devices.

The sleeping quarters include two guest rooms (one queen and one with two twin beds) and a Primary Suite with glass sliders to its own patio and side yard exit. The bedrooms are bright with East and South facing views and enjoy flatscreen TVs.

This beautiful vacation rental is a short drive to downtown Palm Springs with its many bars, shops, restaurants, and art galleries and even closer to the boutique shops and restaurants of the Uptown Design District. Other Palm Springs attractions are similarly a short drive away - from area casinos to world renowned spa resorts, tennis, golfing, museums and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

This vacation rental is located in a peaceful and tranquil residential neighborhood perfect for your next poolside getaway. In order to keep the tranquility of the community, we ask that you be respectful and mindful of your neighbors while on vacation.

In order to maintain the highest quality of our homes and the peace and quiet of our neighborhoods, all guests must adhere to the city and house rules. The city prohibits music and loud noise. The city strictly enforces these rules and prohibits parties, events, music, street parking, and disruptive guests. No music is allowed at any time. Quiet hours are between 9:00pm and 10:00am and guests are asked to be inside and mindful of neighbors. Overnight guests shall not exceed the property's posted occupancy.

Friendly Reminder: Optional pool and spa heat is available at an additional cost of $69 nightly or $345 weekly. Pool and spa heat is recommended October thru May. For this, we will preheat your pool and ensure it is heated upon your arrival to a comfortable 86 degrees. The above ground Hot Tub will always be heated at no charge.
