Lazy Mountain View- Spacious log home with mountain views, just north of Palmer

This recently renovated 3 level log home with mountain views is nothing short of a masterpiece, offering a spacious, comfortable, and scenic home base for your vacation needs. The 4-bedroom(5 bed), 3-bath, 3 living room vacation rental also includes a sleeper sofa/air mattress, invites you to unwind by spending time on the deck taking in the spectacular view, relax in front of the wood stove, hang out around the fire pit, soak in one of the 2 jetted tubs, or take a quiet walk at sunset.
The modern kitchen offers amenities for cooking up a feast or enjoy grilling on the deck.
5 miles north of Palmer, 20 miles from Wasilla location is perfect for many excursions.

Winter:
There are numerous hiking trails and lakes in the area for the outdoor enthusiast. Once the snow settles in, the home is located just minutes from your skiing, snow boarding, ice fishing, or snow machining paradise.
Just a few minutes drive to Hatcher Pass, which offers numerous opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, sledding or snow machining.

Enjoy the newer Skeetawk Ski Resort, a unique Alpine ski area with their lift and refreshment area. Or, travel further up the road to Government Peak Recreation Area which in winter offers groomed, lighted recreation trails for some 4.5 miles. The Matanuska Loop is 1.36 miles. The Susitna Loop is 1.29 miles. The Denali/ Competition loops offer 3.9 miles of unlit, challenging, advanced level trails, featuring long steep up hills and fast technical down hills. Or continue further to Independence Mine with the trails. Whatever you pleasure, whether you enjoy cross country or Alpine skiing, sledding or a brisk walk or machining, Hatcher Pass has an area for you. The Willow side of Hatcher pass is open to snow machines.

Summer:
Go into Palmer to enjoy Friday Fling, climb the Butte, visit the reindeer farm, watch paragliders, visit Knik glacier, hike on Matanuska glacier, drive to Hatcher Pass to visit Independence Mine State Park- an abandoned gold mine or pick wild berries or hike the many trails, visit one of the many other available hiking trails or lakes in the area.

This is a residential neighborhood. The speed limit is 25 miles per hour. All privately owned properties. Please do not intrude or trespass on the neighbors. Quiet time is 10 p.m. - 8 a.m. Caretaker lives on property in cabin. This residence is the perfect place for small respectful gatherings. Drunkenness and loud parties will NOT be tolerated.

NO PETS ALLOWED!

*For security reasons there are cameras strategically placed outside by entrance areas of this property. None indoor.

Perfect Getaway

This home is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect getaway place for our girls trip. It had plenty of room for us to relax . The location is a short distance from Hatchers Pass where we spent a great deal of time hiking.We will put this on our favorites list and stay here for future visits to Palmer. Thank you for sharing your home with us we did not want to leave.

Perfect for family gatherings.

We hosted memorial dinners for our family and it was perfect. Spacious yard for kids to play in. Great for midday walks and the kitchen was plenty big. I LOVE the fact it had filtered water. I do wish they had more stainless steel pan options but we made it work. A fire pit would have been nice. Overall it was clean, spacious and worked great for our family gatherings. Loved the bathrooms! Thankful for AC and fans as it gets hot in the summer. Close to grocery stores but love the country feeling. Neighbors are close but very quiet. This picture was taken at 1am - SO thankful for the blackout blinds in the bedroom.I would stay here again!

Great property

We were in the Palmer area for hockey tournament and rented this house for a couple of the families. Check-in was very easy and the home was very clean. The host was extremely accommodating for our group. I recommend this property to any large group that is looking for large spaces and beautiful views. I will definitely be saving it for future stays in the area.

Spacious Basic Home

Minimalist home that easily accommodated our family of four. The shared space would have been more usable with additional lights and furniture. Woodstove was great for warmth and brightened dark evenings and mornings. Town of Palmer was an easy drive.

Great stay with awesome host. Bathroom was the cherry on top. So fun for all of us in a very quiet secluded location with views to dream about. Such a great place for our thanksgiving staycation!

Great location and wonderful property

This is a great home and well equipped for a large group. Beautiful home that is well equipped and has good amenities. The beds and pillows (which are normally tough for me) are so comfortable! Location is very convenient to all the Matanuska Valley activities but gives you a great feeling of being in the Alaskan nature with privacy. Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

We came up for a family vacation and to visit friends who live in the area. The house was perfect for us with a large kitchen and gathering area. We enjoyed big family breakfasts with a beautiful view. The property owner, Rick-was onsite in a small cabin so we were able to visit with him and would have loved to spend more time with him. We drove to Denali for a day-spent a day in Talkeetna, did a day in Anchorage and Friday Fling in Palmer- just so much to see and do with beauty surrounding in every direction. Now off to Kenai for us

Upscale cabin home with amazing view

Beautiful cabin home in a quiet neighborhood. We were able to sit and enjoy coffee and visit with the gorgeous view of the mountains out the front window. House was very clean with amazing upscale bathrooms. Ricky was great to communicate with and offered many suggestions for things to do and restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again.
