“We stayed for three nights at the Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge with our grandson. The hosts were fantastic. They offered to loan a fishing rod and lures to our grandson so he could fish in Montana Creek a few hundred feet from the cabin. A campfire and s’mores were available every night near the lodge allowing us to visit with other travelers. The cabin had comfortable beds and pillows with a kitchenette that included dishes, refrigerator, a microwave and sink. We had access to the lodge kitchen...

“This house was exactly as advertised. The master with the en suite was fabulous. Access to a washer and dryer was absolutely key. Kitchen was fully stocked equipment wise with a ninja blender, toaster etc. (No air fryer - that would have been an extra bonus). Minor issues: - drawers sticking in fridge and freezer - shampoo and conditioner provided was a great perk, I just wish it was slightly higher quality (dove or Pantene prov would be a step up). We would love to come back!!”

“Cabin feels new, has nice decor and was very clean. Cabin provides comfortable use of space. Location is convenient to the scarce grocery and supply offerings; usual array of stores available @25-30 min away. Of note, bathroom is on main floor and could use towel hooks for drying. Upper level could fit another double bed instead of single while still allowing plenty of space.”

“This cabin is super clean and stock full of amenities. The surrounding is very private, quiet, and full of beautiful trees. You can hear the birds singing all day long. The hosts are very friendly. They come and clean the compost toilet every day. We had a lovely stay during the 4th of July and can't wait for the next visit. ”

“House was cold when we arrived. Windows were open...I think to air out the cabin from the wood smoke smell. It smelled that previosly someone couldnt get the fire going (wet wood or poor draft). Once we closed the wondows the cabin warmed. Alternative heating to just using wood would be a good idea...especially on cooler days. Overall the host was great and the cabin cosy. ”
