We stayed in Sweet Retreat and when we arrived the place was nice and clean. We planned on cooking during our stay due to Covid, so I grocery shopped for the entire week ($$$). However, the oven did not work, the stove top was hit or miss and the dishwasher did not work. I called property management and the next day a repair man evaluated both appliances and said that both were old and that he had to order a part for the Oven/Stove (taking several days to get) and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. As a result, we had to spend a lot of extra money eating out for most of our meals (with my elderly mom who should not have been eating out) and I had to hand wash dishes all week. I was promised a partial refund and it has been several days with no refund. The property was pretty and clean but the appliances were very outdated and the owner/manager should have known that they needed to be fixed/replaced way before we got there. Also, the mattresses in the downstairs bedroom were about 2 inches thin and not comfortable AT ALL.
