Wasn’t what we expected

When we arrived the door wasn’t locked and we couldn’t get it to lock the whole time we were there. We first off noticed that the outside of this unit was considerably less visually appealing as the surrounding properties. When we walked inside there was dirty towels on the dryer and sand all over the floors. The headline listing said just a half block from the beach which is true I guess but you have no access to the beach from the property. We had someone with us that is handicapped and has mobility issues and this restricted her ability to be able to enjoy the beach like she should have been able to. You have to drive down the road to the nearest public access beach entrance. The blinds for the sliding glass doors don’t work properly. You can’t twist the blinds open because they are stripped out and the ones upstairs is missing a few panels. Sheets on the beds didn’t fit properly and what is provided to cover up with is very thin and felt like just a top sheet. You can barely get the dryer door open because of bad placement.

Give it some thought

When we first got there, we thought this is a nice little place. It was pouring down rain at the time. Another renter knocked on the door letting us know we had parked over the line into her space and she needed both of her parking spaces for her large family. No Problem. We moved over some. She only had one vehicle, But she made sure to straddle 2 spaces.. hooray for her! Our one space in front of the unit was not marked, but we figured it out. So we parked one truck close to the townhouse and one beside the road in the parallel spot. The next morning me and my buddy went fishing and when we got back, We found out the other truck had been towed. We was upset of course! Now there is a utility trailer parked there. We looked around some to find out we had parked in spot 103. We knocked on unit 103 door and asked them if they had our truck towed. They said they did not have it towed. Tow company said the property owner had it towed. Called Vacassa trying to figure out why we was towed. No help there. We did find another spot marked 107 which was one spot ahead of 103. 107 already had a car in it when we got there so we pulled in behind them. Looking around, The parking spots was poorly marked if it was marked at all! They need to repaint all of the parking spot numbers so there is no doubt where you are at! I thought this was poorly communicated. I did go back and find it was called out in the property description about you could be towed if you was in the wrong spot. Besides putting this in the description, I would also put this info inside the rental on the fridge, door or somehwere it wouldn't be missed. There was no owners book inside the townhouse with important info, Just a leaflet with Vacassa's number. Besides the parking snafu, I wish there had been chairs on the patio like the pictured showed. The bedroom facing the street is noisy from sirens and loud trucks etc... It is a bit annoying. The Description says 1/2 block from beach. It might be as a crow flies, But you are 2 long blocks from the entrance to public beach access and another 100 or so yards to the actual beach. You will need to drive if you have a lot of stuff to carry. I can say the unit was clean.

Overall a nice condo but dirty sofa bed has to go

Condo was as advertised. Nice location, very close to the beach. Overall very clean and nice. Three big minuses that can be fixed easily by management: a. The sofa bed was filthy. One in our group was planning to sleep on the sofa-bed but instead we decided to buy an inflatable mattress. b. There were no linens for the master bed and there were no linens anywhere in the condo. Also, no linens for the sofa bed, which was supposed to make the condo good for 6 people. c. There were towels in the washer (that needed to be washed) and drier (still wet) when we checked in.

Convenient location

Short walk to beach. Close to restaurants. Roomy comfortable townhouse. The only issue I had was that there wasn’t a top sheet for one of the beds, and the manager never replied to my messages. Also there was not a pot or saucepan in the kitchen; had to boil water in a skillet. Just minor annoyances in an otherwise good experience.

Great place to stay and spend vacation!

The home is very clean and seems like renovation recently. No smells at all and everything is neat and well arranged. Speedy wifi and even you can watch Netflix in the living room. The living room sofa is sofa bed. 2 rooms are upstairs, one room see the road is little bit noisy. Except that everything is very satisfied.

Bring everything you will need! If you plan on doing more than a couple loads of wash bring laundry soap. Want to use the coffee pot, bring filters. Going to the beach or pool bring everything you will need. Hopefully if you have issues the rental company will get back to you, the internet and tv weren’t working and some guy showed up said the internet must be down. A little while later a man and woman show up (unannounced as well) and can connect to another units WiFi but not ours. She said they would have to call the internet provider and would get back to us. I’ve been home since Tuesday night and haven’t heard from anyone. Also you will get emails offering late check out and when you click to chose it, it will tell you it’s no longer availible, you will get the same email the next day...?? How can they offer it if it wasn’t availible the day before. We tried within an hour and half of getting the email both times. Could use some updating. Nice decor, not a bad walk to the beach, however not much to walk to in the area for food, we had to drive to all the restaurants we went to. Will go further West on the beach next time and with a different rental company.
