“Beautiful property in Port Carling, right on the water. Plenty of space, well furnished and equipped with kayaks and paddle boards. AC not working, oven not working, patio umbrella broken and barbecue very dirty. Couldn’t find any garbage bags or paper towels. Otherwise had a fantastic time with friends thanks to Lux Muskoka!”

“The cottage and guest house were exceptionally clean and well kept. The location and grounds were picturesque and very serene. We would recommend this rental to anyone.”

“Comfortable. Clean. Hot tub took some time to warm up it once it was warm it was perfect. Coffee, tea and other basics were available in the kitchen and the tv has Netflix and other options to sign in to. Very relaxing”

“Stayed August 2025 with family of four. We found other reviews to be largely accurate. Cottage was clean, comfy, well stocked (except we never did find an ice cream scoop lol). BBQ worked, lots of activities indoors and outside, good sitting areas, great location albeit on a busy lake.It's a stretch to say it has AC. There's a portable unit in the back hall with maybe a five/six foot hose. It didn't reach let alone cool the south-facing main area. It's probably fine most times of year but...

“Very clean, well-appointed, seamless check-in process. We loved the 3 bathrooms, 2 dishwashers, 2 garbage/recycling cupboards, 2 washers & dryers, espresso maker, ample dining areas, and the baby grand piano!! Comments for families with young kids:- no sandy beach or swimming water; we drove to a beach nearby - very large great room made for amplified sound, making it challenging with littles sleeping upstairs - no dry wood for fire pit so no s’moresVery good hosts!!”

“Just finished a 2 week stay at Sunset Heights. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary with family from BC and Alberta. It was nice to show off our Ontario treasures! Had wonderful vacation set up by the great cottage. The well appointed kitchen was absolutely perfect….a dream for anyone cooking. The lake views from every window were amazing- from sunrise to sunset.Check in was easy and timely.Great trip!”
