âWe spent four fantastic days at the Spectator Hotel with our kids (12+13) and was completely blown away by the impeccable high standard and impressive service level. It was like being welcomed into someoneâs home - but better! We felt like royalties and appreciated everything about the hotel from the welcome and complimentary drink, to the lounge bar, our room, breakfast, valet parking service to the generous refill of the minbar and all the great sightseeing tips. âOne of the oldest hotels in Charleston in need of some refreshments. We booked a suite and it was quite allright but but no minibar, stains on every furniture (which is fine, you canât replace them every time) but also a big stain on the duvet cover on the bed. Got to be something that can be cleaned or replaced. But ours was there for all four nights. The restuarant is great! Especially for dinner. Breakfast is not worth having, go somewhere else on the street. â
âThis is by far my favorite hotel in Charleston and I stayed a lot of hotels. Staying here is like staying with friends. You feel thought about, taken care of, and it has an apartment feel not a hotel feel. The Jeep driving you around locally is definitely a plus and always pleasant plus the warm cookies at night and the breakfast in the morning⊠Cannot say enough good things.â

âTo charge 8 dollars for a bottle of water in the room when you pay 550 dollars a night is just so unattractive. Furtheron, also there was a note saying enjoy the bath amenities like cotton pads during your stay - if you bring some home there will be a charge! â
