I almost don't want to share how nice our accommodations were in fear that the next time we go to book here that the rates will increase or there will be no availability. Such an awesome "at home" feeling. If there was one "con" it would be that there's no pool - but we knew that before we booked, so no really a problem for us on this trip. “We enjoyed the clean, friendly atmosphere. The hotel staff were very accommodating from check-in to check-out. We enjoyed our spacious and quiet room, as well as, the pool areas. Dinner at the Fish House was very enjoyable. Our waiter had a great sense of humor and was very good at his job.
I believe we will likely be returning to South Carolina again, and we will stay at the Beach Club and Resort.”
“One of the oldest hotels in Charleston in need of some refreshments. We booked a suite and it was quite allright but but no minibar, stains on every furniture (which is fine, you can’t replace them every time) but also a big stain on the duvet cover on the bed. Got to be something that can be cleaned or replaced. But ours was there for all four nights. The restuarant is great! Especially for dinner. Breakfast is not worth having, go somewhere else on the street. ”

Tour of lobby's art exhibit was led by a woman (whose name escapes me) who arranged the exhibit and answered my many questions about each painting/ art piece and the artist who creeated it. “The Emeline Hotel is very unique. We got upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was a wonderful surprise. They have a great coffee place inside and a small shopping area - big bar and sitting area outside. There sister hotel is the Ryder - so they give you drink tokens and you can get a free drink and sit near the pool if you wish. They did not charge us for valet parking -- which was super cool something to do with our status but yet The Ryder Hotel DID CHARGE 55.-- for parking plus resort...
