We enjoyed the quiet, the view of the lake , property is dog friendly and well fenced. Easy walks from the property, walking trail and lake front. All amenities at the house were excellent. Short drive to supermarket town centre.

Fantastic position

This property was in the ideal location for us, we spent a lot of time in the boat , it made access fantastic & sitting on the deck looking at the view was perfect. The house is a new build and comfortable. The beds were very firm but nice linen. We had a great time at this property.

Relaxing Stay

We decided to visit the Gippsland area to help the economy after the fires We stayed in Paynesville and the house was lovely in a quiet court and looks over the area where the boats are put in the water The house was new and had all amenities The only thing was it was stated that the house had fans in the rooms but there wasn’t any The area is beautiful and although a long way to travel for a couple of days we will be back for a longer stay

Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Captains hideaway was lovely , our only issue was navigating the shower , large shower head in the ceiling , difficult if not requiring to wash hair , shower taps on opposite wall to shower door , so have to reach in to turn on and get wet with cold burst of water before temp regulated .

The only thing I would suggest is that the lounge and dining areas are swapped to maximise the views. We would love to return here.

Reviewer Comments: The house was well positioned , spacious and very clean, unfortunately the wi fi was poor cutting out regularly while watching movies or using lap top , also no vacuum cleaner in the house as our stay was for 2 weeks , a regular clean up was required we had to purchase one ourselves . Management were informed .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is just like the explanation, it has everything you need.The only negative was the amount of dog hair on the carpet. It is obvious that a white hair dog stays regularly and this is all though the carpets and outside in the yard. It appeared well vacuumed on arrival but a couple of walks up and down the corridor and it just all balled to the surface. I even vacuumed myself a couple of times but there is so much it continues to ball up on the floor. Clumps could be found in the outdoor area also. The couch in the living room smelt badly of dog also. The grass in the backyard was full of bindies so be careful walking on the grass.

Also a beautiful vue of the lake. Asothanks for the rental agent with no problems to get the keys a d givexbackThank you all for a great few days spend in a not well know part of Victoria for my sekf wife and puppy.
