“Really friendly and welcoming place to stay and explore the Lake District. Stayed in a small but cosy and very comfortable room. Great food and nice pub/bar downstairs. Plenty of parking on site. ”

“The location is a perfect ten, but the staff was far from good. First of all, it took us 1.5 hours to check in, and we didn’t sense any effort to speed up the process. There was a complete lack of willingness from the staff to make our experience enjoyable. Our room was also dirty, which unfortunately aligned with the poor check-in experience. The Tan Hill has the potential to be amazing. It has everything going for it—except the staff, who failed to make our stay pleasant.”
