We booked this home for three nights but ended up leaving after the first night because we were disappointed with the overall condition of the property.
I do want to mention the positives first. Check-in was very easy, the home smelled clean when we first walked in, and beach towels were provided, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, once we settled in, we noticed several issues that made us uncomfortable. While the home appears to have been remodeled, it is still an older property that could benefit from additional maintenance and fresh interior paint.
Some of the concerns we found included:
• Rusty and dirty HVAC vents, with what appeared to be moisture stains and possible mold around one of the bathroom vents.
• A shower curtain with visible soap scum and buildup from previous guests.
• A bedside lamp with multiple stains on the lampshade that should be replaced.
• Dust buildup on wall décor in one of the bedrooms.
• Dirty kitchen blinds.
• The attic access door showed visible stains and marks.
The surrounding neighborhood also looked rough, although it was quiet during our stay.
None of these conditions were disclosed or shown in the listing photos. We understand that older homes can have character, but cleanliness and maintenance should still meet a reasonable standard.
Because the condition of the home did not match our expectations based on the listing, we chose to leave after one night instead of staying for the remaining two nights we had paid for.
