“Delightful premises, most acceptable. Spotless, warm and convenient to the village. We were very comfortable, a beautiful bed.We were not aware of the need to provide our own breakfast items, but got around that small hiccup.”

“The accommodation was excellent. The only suggestion was that rails be installed by toilet and in shower. As an older couple we both agreed this would have been an advantage. We did enjoy our brief time there and it was helpful to have eating places nearby if we wanted to eat out. As the venue was a kitchenette, there was no stove or oven, but a microwave was available.”

“The cottage itself was great. It is in a good location and had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy.
Unfortunately the owners are poor communicators however. We were not advised of the check-in details 3 days prior to arrival, as stated in our booking confirmation. They said they would email the information. They didn’t. They said they would ring us. They didn’t. We had to ring them, more than once, and finally received the key lock box code hours after the check in time. Not knowing if...

By the 1850s and 1860s, the flourishing farm was something of a town, with housing for workers and managers, a store, church, community buildings, etc. Many of those original buildings are now converted into boutique and highly unique accommodations.
