River View Rainforest liten hytt med pentry (ingen städavgift)

  • Det har ett eget badrum och ett välutrustat privat pentry på en skärmad veranda. Du kommer också ha tillgång till vårt gemensamma vattenfallsområde.

    Den här kabinen är off-the-grid. Att vara ute i nätet innebär att vi får all vår el från solen och allt vårt vatten samlas in från regnet. Vi är inte anslutna till öns nätverkssystem. Våra solpaneler laddar en stor bank med djupa cykelbatterier hela dagen för att vi ska kunna ha ström dygnet runt. Gästerna är ombedda att inte använda apparater som genererar värme från el (till exempel brödrostar, hårtorkar, curling irons, etc ...) eftersom de förbrukar för mycket energi för ett off-grid-system.

The location within the rainforest was very nice, with a beautiful forest and river view and great sounds to sleep to. I had issues with air circulation, mold, and bugs, though. With the windows being so tiny, it got hot in there very fast and there was only a small fan on the desk - another fan or two would make it much better. Also, after night 1 I started feeling congested and realized the pillows I was sleeping on had a black mold, most likely due to the moist atmosphere and minimal airflow. I was not happy with that. Lastly, if you're not into bugs, don't stay here. Lots of little bugs and ants managed to wiggle their way through the screens.

Absolutely recommended!!!! Off grid property, swim in the private natural pool.

I wish more people could find this place and stay here for couple nights, off grid and private natural pool.

Private Getaway

Exactly as described! Waterfall just 1 min walk away from cabin. Little kitchen. Private driveway. Little tricky to find even with google map direction, but once you get here, it’s worth it!

Unique rainforest experience

This is definitely something different from most vacation properties. Unfortunately for us, our stay corresponded with a 'kona low' rain storm and so we couldn't take full advantage of uniqueness of the property. In drier weather this could have been a lot of fun, but with constant rain it was only a step up from being stuck in a tent in the rain. The property managers were super friendly and helpful. The kitchenette is basically like camping. Don't plan on cooking much in it.

This tiny cabin is a great blend of roughing it with conveniences. The toilet and shower stall are full size and normal. The small fridge, cooktop and large sink made for a useful kitchenette space while being on the screened porch to keep heat out of the sleeping room. The bunkbed is a clever use of space, with a decent mattress and lots of pillows. The hosts were responsive to texts and located not too far away, just in case. Checking in and out was a breeze, and all instructions were very clear. The downside is just the natural environment of the rainforest. With no AC and minimal ability to move the air, the humidity is oppressive. The presence of the nearby waterfall is lovely but the tree frogs overwhelm the peacefulness and the mosquitoes are vicious. The building is suffering a bit from the constant moisture. It was also disconcerting to see a huge feral hog on the driveway, and witness the extensive digging they have done all around the property. I certainly came away feeling like it was a true break from civilization!

A little more care of the Tiny home would be more acceptable. Floors / carpet, replace it !!And we had to take a 15-20step stairs to get there . It was damp out, all ok ,but those wooden steps and bad rails not good .

Simply amazing. Private, peaceful my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. As long as you know what your getting into, a small cabin with screened kitchen in the middle of the rainforest and not expecting a 5 star resort...then this is a literal slice of heaven. The sounds of night are incredible. And prepare foe your jaw to hit the ground when you see the swimming hole.

Paradise

We truly felt like we were in paradise. Pictures don’t show the true beauty of the plants and trees and water. The sounds were incredible too. We had just came from Waikiki and it was so nice to be with nature - the true original Hawaii.

Simply amazing!

The cabin is better than the pictures. The grounds are incredible. A private waterfall with a large pool at the base. Its perfect for cooling off. Jungle sounds, rushing stream, a one lane road for morning walks. Perfect.

Had a great time at the property. Cabin was clean, in a serene private area, and had all the necessary amenities. Would certainly book again and recommend to others.

Great location in the middle of the rainforest 15 mins from downtown Hilo. Private natural swimming pool was awesome! I recommend take the scenic route to get to the cabin

Nous recommandons vraiment cet hébergement, un endroit exceptionnel, ma fille a adoré la faune qui partage l’endroit avec nous 😉! Par contre, nous aurions apprécié rencontrer les propriétaires, nous avons rencontré personne pour nous accueillir même si nous avons reçu un e-mail expliquant comment rentrer dans le logement, nous aurions aussi apprécié durant notre séjour rencontré quelqu’un!

This was so amazing! I literally was beside myself with how incredible it was.

Clean. Frogs! Spectacular waterfall! I got engaged here. So memorable, I love camping. This was glamping! Bidet, flushing toilet, warm shower. Great bed. Fabulous out door kitchen. Just what I needed for rest and relaxation. Warning, you need to be an active healthy person to stay here. Im from Alaska and this was a slice of heaven on earth.

Staying in the jungle

The cabin was a nice, secluded stay, in a jungle flare. Sitting outside and listing the little waterfall and all kinds of animals was amazing. You could cook for yourself but the space was limited, but thats what to expect for a tiny house. Definitely would go there gain

Jungle Adventure

We were looking for an adventure and we got one. We aren’t “campers” really but we thought we could do the tiny house. We also wanted to be in a jungle environment. This was the perfect setting for our two-night adventure. Location was convenient to area amenities. The sound of the waterfall and the frogs at night added to the whole experience. It was a fun stay!

Rainforest Cabin

The cabin is very cute, had everything needed for our stay. Communication was great, location was great, nice getaway. It’s not a 5star hotel so come with a camping mindset. It is darker and the humidity is higher but that wasn’t a problem for us, you can get sun at the main guest house or on the beach. The waterfall was beautiful but the water was too chilly for us to swim in, it is January after all. The hosts were very nice and helpful and the price was right!
